As young LGBT+ people, Phoebe and Abi came together to talk about the issues that have affected them over the past year.
By sharing their perspectives from different intersections of their queer identity, Abi and Phoebe created a sonic space to voice their feelings about the personal, political and social dynamics of mental wellbeing.
Alongside their open conversations as a group, they pursued separate approaches to exploring mental health during lockdown, bringing together two strands side by side: investigative research and poetry.
Locked in Our Heads presents the lived experience of queer youth in Covid-Britain, revealing entrenched inequalities that are being met by the bold compassion of its young people.
